Mbappé confirms for the first time that he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the end of the season, as this is the first time he is confirming this in public.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Mbappé has never negotiated with any other club in the recent months as his full focus was on Real Madrid and his salary is expected to be way lower than two years ago and Real Madrid were clear in deciding conditions of deal.
Real Madrid are expected to announce Mbappé just after the end of this season and Champions League final. Although there has been approaches from different leagues and clubs but Kylian Mbappé never wanted to discuss with them.
Premier League clubs already showed their interest in him for the last two years but it did not work out as his focus has always been on Real Madrid after deal collapsed in June 2022 when he extended with PSG. Kylian also rejected approaches from Saudi last summer for €200m yearly salary as his focus was only on the Spanish club, Real Madrid.
Mbappé will leave as free agent but Paris Saint-Germain estimate more than €200m as money ‘saved’. It includes one-year extension not triggered and also this season’s loyalty bonus around €80m that is not going to be paid.
Paris Saint-German will reinvest the money on 4 or 5 signings this summer.
